Major Objective:
Truck Dispatchers will organize the movement of Savage Water Trucks and Sub-Contracted Water Trucks servicing customers surrounding the Vernal, Utah oil fields; ensuring the work is done efficiently and utilizes our equipment and personnel resources.

Duties: Supporting Objective(s):
- Create a dispatch that utilizes equipment and personnel availability and efficiently meets the customer’s needs and Savage’s contractual obligations
- Monitor up-to-the-minute oilfield conditions and customer’s needs through constant communication with Well Site Managers and observing data received from the trucks on-board data collection devices
- Build a strong rapport with Savage Drivers and communicate with them such that their objective is clearly known and able to be met
- Dispatch sub-contracted trucking companies as needed
- Fulfill other duties assigned by Savage Managers in order to meet necessary business objectives and contractual obligations

Team and People Issues:
The Dispatcher will report directly to the Manager of Business Operations and Logistics. They will also interact with other Vernal and Salt Lake based managers, as well as operational employees on a regular basis. As the face of the operation, the Dispatcher will be in constant communication with Savage’s Customer. As such, strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills are essential.

Physical and Environmental Issues:
The Dispatcher will typically work in an office environment but will participate in truck ride-a-longs and visit pickup and drop off points. Travel by car and airplane will be a function of this position on an occasional basis. They must be physically able to handle supplies weighing upwards of 50 lbs and sit for extended periods of time.

Qualifications: Skills and Abilities:
- Previous truck dispatching experience is a must; water truck dispatching experience is a plus
- Strong computer skills will be necessary, any experience with dispatch related software is also a plus
- Proficient Excel skills with an ability to create and manipulate intermediate level functions. Should have a good understanding of the entire Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to maintain good relationships with customers and coworkers
- A problem solver, has the ability to think outside of the box and can grasp the big picture in a chain of events
- Willing and able to travel to the oil wells to gain understanding of the operation, routes and procedures
- Excellent and proven method of staying organized
- Written and verbal communication skills are essential to the success of the position; including proper telephone etiquette
- Ability to work in and foster a professional team environment
