| Duties: | MAJOR OBJECTIVE (PURPOSE) OF THE JOB:
This position will be an integral part of the tax department in bringing value to the bottom line of the company by assisting in the corporate income tax compliance process. This position will work with the Accounting and IT departments to communicate the financial information needed to complete the work.
SUPPORTING OBJECTIVES:
• Assist in preparation of US, Canadian, state, and provincial corporate tax filings on a timely and accurate basis.
• Assist on audits by the various agencies.
• Assist in preparation of regular income tax provisions for the company financial statements.
• Research tax issues when necessary
• Assist in other areas of tax department when need arises. |
| Qualifications: | DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Degree in accounting with emphasis in tax
• Some experience in US Corporate, partnership, and state income tax compliance
• Experience using corporate tax compliance software
• 3-4 years experience in a Tax Department preferred
• Some international tax experience helpful
